NickServ added in 1.2.2. Keychain is overkill imo.

Agreed on the keychain being overkill...
But you should add a way to customize the nickserv command. One of the servers I'm on doesn't recognize "ns" and it allows a "better" command, that ghosts if necessary: /nickserv login !
Customizing would be cool for networks like QuakeNet even, although I use the auto-exec commands! :)
Another thing is that I've noticed your Nickserv implementation seems more "lagged" (or it's executed later, maybe) than the auto-exec function... no?

Well, I don't consider this an overkill, Colloquy does it and if Linkinus were to do that to (perhaps even ask the user whether to import the already entered keychain rows) it would make switching a bit nicer & smoother :)
